The University of Maine has an open call for international students. These are undergraduate or bachelor's scholarships for the period 2023-2024.

What are the participating areas?

The International Presidential Scholarships cover the following areas of study: Administration and Management, Agriculture and Food, Architecture, Visual Arts and Design, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Also, you can participate if you are a student of Communication and Journalism, Law and Political Science, Economics and Finance, Education, Statistics, Physics and Astrophysics.

In addition, there is availability for areas such as Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Environment, Advertising and Marketing.

Finally, Health and Nutrition, Technology and New Sciences, Natural Sciences and Languages are included.

Requirements to obtain scholarships from the University of Maine

First, the scholarships are exclusively for international students who are applying for the scholarship for the first time. The level of study is Undergraduate.

Second, all candidates must be able to qualify to obtain an F-1 or J-1 student visa to remain in the United States.

Additionally, applicants must complete an application for admission to the University of Maine. As well as, submit a Scholarship Application application before the deadline.

It is important that you know that candidates are selected based on some criteria. For example, academic performance, English proficiency, extracurricular activities, the quality of the written essay.

The University of Maine encourages women and students from underrepresented communities on campus to apply.

Scholarship Benefits

The University of Maine scholarship to study in the United States has a value of USD 20,000 for each academic year.

Please note that the award is not automatically renewed each year. Students must maintain a GPA to remain beneficiaries.

Finally, the scholarships have a maximum duration of eight (8) semesters, that is, four (4) academic years. However, if you are a transfer student, you can be a scholarship recipient for a maximum of three (3) years, that is, six (6) semesters.

Deadline

There is no application deadline. Applicants to the University of Maine will be considered when applying to the university, a separate application is not necessary to be considered for the award.

However, until November 1, 2023 there is time to apply for admission to the university.
