Do you want to study in Europe? The University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands is looking for young applicants of high academic level who wish to continue their master's learning in that nation in the educational period of 2024 - 2025.

The aforementioned institution was established in 1632, it is one of the most important research entities in Holland. Today it does an important job thanks to the financial support it receives from the city of Amsterdam. It should be noted that, due to the various programs it promotes, it has obtained recognition as one of the 100 best universities in the world.

The University of Amsterdam is a member of the League of European Research Universities (LERU) and Universitas 21, a leading global network of research-intensive universities. It is also an active partner in many initiatives at EU level with other universities and research institutions.

Amsterdam ranked 12th out of more than 200 cities around the world in the 2018 Mercer “Quality of Living Survey”. In the pan-European “International Student Barometer”, 96% of students surveyed felt safe and secure , and 97% said Amsterdam was “the place to be.”

More than 7,000 international degree and exchange students from more than 100 countries are currently enrolled at the UvA. They have the active support of the university staff and their fellow students during their stay in Amsterdam. The UvA helps with practical issues such as opening a bank account, applying for visas and finding accommodation.

Who can participate?:

All Latin American students can apply for scholarships from the University of Amsterdam.

Scholarship endowment:

Depending on the faculty, the scholarship can vary between EUR 2,000 and EUR 25,000. The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship can sometimes be supplemented by the Dutch Government Scholarship, of which the University of Amsterdam is a participating member.

Conditions that participants must meet:

  • Be an international applicant with a perfect academic record. EU/EEA applicants are not allowed to apply.
  • Have a university degree.
  • Submit a formal registration for the full-time master's course using the University of Amsterdam online entry system.
  • Perfectly master the English language to the highest standards required by the evaluation committee. You will need to have a certificate that certifies your knowledge of that language.

  • Applications must be submitted to the Graduate School Admissions Offices.
  • Deadlines for the AMS differ depending on the college or graduate school.
  • Specific eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and application instructions can be found on the Faculty or Graduate School websites.
